Hospices de Beaune was founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin. It is known for its extensive vineyards, mainly planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These vineyards, mostly Premier and Grand Cru, contribute to some of Burgundy's most renowned wines.
